donate.pet is a platform that facilitates donations between donors and verified animal shelters, organizations, and pet content creators. By using our platform, you agree to these terms.

Payments. All donations are processed by Stripe, Inc. donate.pet does not hold or pool funds — donations are transferred directly to the shelter's registered bank account via Stripe Connect. donate.pet may charge a platform fee to sustain operations, which is disclosed before payment confirmation.

Guardianships. Monthly guardian subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Verification. All shelters and organizations are verified before they can receive donations. We check legal registration and animal welfare compliance.

Refunds. Refund requests should be directed to the shelter that received the donation. Refund eligibility and approval are determined by the shelter in accordance with applicable laws and their own policies. Once approved, refunds are processed by donate.pet on behalf of the shelter via Stripe. In cases of fraud or processing error, donate.pet may initiate a refund independently.

Partner responsibility. Partners onboard their payment details (bank account, IBAN, tax information) directly through Stripe, Inc. donate.pet does not collect, store, or validate banking information. Partners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their payment details. Failed payouts due to incorrect banking information are handled by Stripe's standard resolution process. Partners can update their bank details at any time via the Stripe Express Dashboard — no re-onboarding is required.

We collect your email address (for account creation and login) and donation history. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. — we never store card details.

We use your data to process donations, send receipts, and manage your account. We do not sell your data to third parties.

We use minimal cookies for language preferences and session management. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
